Exposed steel “queen post” trusses track a skewed centerline in
contrast to the rectilinear pattern of fluorescent lighting fixtures below
in the main reading room of the Spicewood Springs library. Acoustic
steel deck provides a quiet room and also adds to the visual fabric of the
ceiling space.

The library addition updates and enlivens this 70’s building with a vibrant reading room to encourageexploration of books and media.
